The Faerie House

A door, a roof

Now there's no point having a house unless it has a door, so let's get the important things done first; a pair of oak doors, pointy up to the sky and facing the sunset on Midsummer's Eve.

Hazels fill the roof spaces to support warm and cozy straw bales and Leylandii windowsills await their turn. The outer ring of ash posts will be just inside the straw-bale walls.



Straw Faerie barrow brings the barley bales,



The Roofing Elf fashions the pattern,


And ladder lifts to lofty height.



And Faerie House has a hat on.
